Art and Craft Exhibition

This year, a special Art and Craft Exhibition will once again be held in the historic Odda’s Chapel, just a short walk from the Church gates.

The exhibition has been a much-loved part of the Deerhurst Flower Festival for nearly 30 years. Originally established by Peter Lord and now curated by Martin Griffiths, it showcases a wide range of work from talented artists and craftspeople from across the region.

Alongside painting and printmaking, this year’s exhibition will feature sculpture, pottery and bookbinding.

We are also pleased to welcome a new guest exhibitor Jason Blossom, from Buckinghamshire. Jason works primarily with reclaimed wood, transforming old tables, pallets, gates and timber from tree clearance projects into unique handcrafted pieces that might otherwise have ended up in landfill. His work includes large tables, chests and beautifully crafted, inventive bandsaw boxes in a variety of sizes. Jason’s work will be available to purchase throughout the festival, and he also undertakes commissions.

Entry to the Art and Craft Exhibition exhibition is free, and all work is available to purchase. The artists will be on hand throughout the weekend to chat about their work, inspirations and possible commissions.

Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply curious to see something different during your visit to the festival, everyone is welcome. Follow the signs to Odda’s Chapel and take a look around.

We look forward to seeing you there.
