What’s Happening

This spectacular event will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend in one of Englands most delightful and oldest Saxon churches, The Priory Church of St Mary nestling by the River Severn in the village of Deerhurst. The historic church will be transformed into a glorious, fragrant and colourful living art gallery with vibrant floral displays depicting the theme for 2024, The Big Read.

Opening Times

The Festival runs from 10 am till 5.00 pm on Saturday 24th , Sunday 25th and Monday 26th August 2024

Entrance

Entrance by programme – £7.50 and under 16 are free. We are now able to accept payment by card. All proceeds to Deerhurst and Apperley Church Funds

Priory Lawn

Hot and cold refreshments including delicious home baked cakes are served all day on the Priory Lawn along with a selection of craft, charity and local stalls to browse over. BBQ and Odda’s Bar from 12.00pm to 2.00pm. To find out more about our stall holders please click here

Art Exhibition

The well established Art and Craft Exhibition takes place in nearby Odda’s Chapel, with many local artists exhibiting. For further details please click here

Entertainment

Some of our very talented local children from Tewkesbury School and Deerhurst and Apperley School will be performing for you over the weekend.  The Glos Folk Information Stand will be on The Priory Lawn all weekend – Peter Cripps and friends will provide suitable background music in between other entertainments.
