Set in the beautiful surroundings of St Mary’s Priory Church, DEERHURST FLOWER FESTIVAL<\/span><\/strong> returns this August Bank Holiday weekend. Join us as we celebrate 100 YEARS OF TELEVISION <\/strong><\/span>in the unique setting of one of England’s oldest Saxon churches.<\/p>

The Deerhurst Flower Festival has been taking place in one guise or another for longer than most of us can recall. Its present format, held every other year during the August Bank Holiday weekend, dates back to the 1980s when a parishioner celebrated her silver wedding with a special floral event in the church. The idea proved so successful that the festival has continued ever since.<\/p>

Visitors come from far and wide to enjoy the festival, which has become a regular fixture on many calendars. The communities of Deerhurst and Apperley are proud of what is achieved over the weekend and delighted to share it with visitors old and new.\"\"<\/p>

The theme for 2026 is 100 YEARS OF TELEVISION<\/span><\/strong>, giving our talented local flower arrangers plenty of scope to create imaginative and original displays inspired by a century of television.<\/p>

Alongside the floral displays, visitors can enjoy the Art & Craft Exhibition in Odda’s Chapel, browse local stalls, enjoy homemade refreshments and soak up the atmosphere of this much-loved community event.<\/p>
